Prime Minister Ranil Wickramsinghe who arrived at the Presidential Commission of Inquiry appointed to investigate the Central Bank Bond issue this morning, left the commissions premises a short while ago.
Addressing the media subsequent to his statement provided before the commission, the Prime Minister said that he together with the rest of those summoned by the commission had appeared before it in order to promote ‘good governance’ & ensure transparency.
The Prime Minister was given summons last week to appear before the Presidential Commission of Inquiry into the alleged Bond scam.
According to News24’s correspondent at the location the Prime Minister was flanked by several high profile government Ministers & MP’s.
