Grammy Awards 2018: Bruno Mars And Kendrick Lamar Win the Most Awards

The 60th Annual Grammy Awards has just completed and like every year, we saw some of the great performances and winners at the event. The award show took place at Madison Square Garden, New York City on Sunday. 

Before the show started, all eyes were on Jay-Z, Kendrick Lamar and Bruno Mars as they grabbed the most number of nominations, and among them, Kendrick and Bruno turned out to be the most successful. 

With many artists winning their first Grammy and some cementing their legacies at the show, let us look at the winners of different categories. 

Record of the Year and Album of the Year - 24K Magic

Bruno Mars' 24K Magic became the Album of the Year and the title track bagged the award for Record of the Year. These are probably the biggest wins in Bruno Mars' career.

Best Pop Solo Performace - 'Shape of You'

The world fell in love with 'Shape of You' and so did the Grammy voters and that resulted in Best Pop Solo Performance win for Ed Sheeran. 

Best Rap Album - 'Damn'

King Kendrick's Damn won the award for the Best Rap Album which was released in 2017. During the acceptance speech, he said, "Jay-Z for President." This came after Trump attacked the rap legend. 

Best New Artist - 'Alessia Cara'

Alessia Cara was welcomed in the music industry by the Grammy fraternity with the award of Best New Artist. She beat many artists including SZA, Khalid, Lil Uzi Vert, and Julia Michaels. 

Best Country Album - 'From A Room - Volume 1'

Chris Stapleton's second studio album, From A Room - Volume 1 won the Grammy in Best Country Album category.
