Sri Lankan spinner Rangana Herath today made history becoming the left arm bowler with the highest number of wickets.
Herath, Sri Lanka's main striking bowler, has now taken 415 wickets. Today, he broke the record set by Pakistani bowler Wasim Akran as the highest wicket taking left arm bowler.
Herath, whose test career spans for 19 years, has played 89 Test matches averaging 28.25.
In the second test match against Bangladesh, Herath took 04 wickets for 49 runs.
