The Ministry of Petroleum states that measures are in place to unload the consignment of fuel freighted to Sri Lanka oil on board the oil tanker ‘Neveska Lady’.
Secretary to the Ministry of Petroleum Upali Marasinghe said that despite having not received the sample analysis of fuel on board the tanker, it quality has already been certified.
He further said that a sample analysis of the inbound consignment of fuel had been carried out at the out harbour.
Accordingly unloading the fuel is expected to be carried out at approximately 2.00 p.m. this afternoon, for which all staff of the CPC have been deployed on a round the clock roster.
