President Maithripala Sirisena will leave for South Korea tomorrow, on a 3-day official state visit.
News 24’s correspondent, who is currently in Seoul, says that all preparations have been made by the South Korean government to welcome President Sirisena and his delegation.
According to our correspondent, President Sirisena is to meet a number of South Korean Government officials, including his South Korean Counterpart Moon- Jai- in during his state visit.
This marks President Sirisena’s first visit to South Korea since being elected as the President of Sri Lanka.
The visit will also highlight the 40th year of diplomatic ties between Sri Lanka and South Korea.
News 24’s Correspondent further said Sri Lanka and South Korea are scheduled to sign 5 bilateral agreements in various fields during this tour.
Meanwhile, President Maithripala Sirisena is also set to hold discussions with Sri Lankan employees and expats in South Korea.
