Policy Planning and Economic Affairs Minister Dr. Harsha de Silva has requested the Kotte municipal authorities to remove an advertising hoarding offensive to women.
The hoarding, which promoted a gym, conveyed a derogatory message on women as it ridiculed obese women.
The advertise came under severe criticism from social media circles over the past two days.
It was against this backdrop that the Deputy Minister requested the Kotte Municipal authorities to remove the hoarding.
