The final rights of the chief incumbent of the Sri Sambodhi Viharaya and founder of “The Buddhist” television channel, the Venerable Darana-gama Kusala-dhamma Thero will take place today.
The Thero passed away last Saturday at the age of 54 years.
The final rights of the Thero will be held with state honours at the Independence Square in Colombo today.
Meanwhile, the rally organized by the Podu Jana Peramuna to be held in Nugegoda yesterday has been postponed until further notice.
MP Dullus Allahapperuma said that the rally was postponed out of respect for the funeral of late Venerable Darana-gama Kusala-dhamma Thero.
