Minister of Law & Order Ranjith Maddumabandara states that a decision on the state of emergency would be drawn by President Maithriapala Sirisena following the conclusion of his tour of Japan.
Speaking to News24, Minister Maddumabandara said that investigations into the recent incidents of violence in Kandy were still on-going, and that the Presidential Secretariat would announce the President’s decision once reached.
