Election watchdog, the Campaign for Free and Fair Elections or CAFFE has requested the National Police Commission to commence investigations into Police inaction during the recent unrest that took place in the Digana and Theldeniya areas in kandy.
Executive Director of CAFFE Keerthi Tennakoon said that the request was put forward before the Commission yesterday.
He pointed out that the inaction of the Police had led to the situation to spiral out of control.
